REscan is an exciting startup associated with SRI International (www.sri.com) doing large scale architectural 3D scanning & scene understanding with cutting-edge applications in remote viewing, VR, AR, and games.
We’re looking for an experienced software developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate has built front ends and in-game User Interfaces and Experiences for 3D games on mobile devices. Unreal experience is a must. Experience with VR and AR application development is a plus.
Applicants are expected to have worked in a production environment and be familiar with industry standard tools and techniques, such as Git, JIRA, and Agile project management. The company is well funded and you’d be joining early in the engineering team. As such, you will play a significant role in the building of the engineering culture of the company.
What you’ll be doing:
Work with a cross-functional product team to prototype, implement, and iterate on features & products that delight REscan customers
Build 2D and 3D UI / UX for iOS & Android
Design and implement robust software components & tools that extend our internal frameworks using software development best practices
Specific Skills:
5+ years of experience in Unreal/Unity3D development- ideally for an enterprise solution.
Proficiency in C# required
Solid understanding of computer graphics concepts
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns
Excellent ability to write clear, efficient, and maintainable code
Desired Experience
C++ experience a plus
Swift, & Java experience a plus
Shader & CUDA experience a plus
Experience collaborating with UI / UX designers
Highly motivated self-starter and team player

Description
As a Computer Vision Engineer at REscan, you will be responsible for designing and developing state of the art, SLAM and 3D Reconstruction Algorithms. REscan digitizes and streams the physical world with an emphasis on large commercial real estate portfolios. We make spaces remotely viewable, analyzable, editable, and ready for spatial computing applications.
We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about developing computer vision techniques, and have an unrelenting drive to improve the performance of our technology stack. You will be part of a creative team of engineers and researchers who solve challenging problems and help advance our state of the art reconstruction system.
Minimum Qualifications
● Masters or equivalent experience in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
● Solid understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures.
● 4 or more years C++ experience and used in the last 2 years, including modern C++ features
● Experience with of 3D Reconstruction techniques including, Structure From Motion, Multi-View Geometry, Sensor Fusion, and SLAM
● Experience with Camera Calibration and Camera Models
● Proven track record of software development, including shipping one or more products
● Problem solving and optimization experience
● Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
● Ph.D. in computer vision, robotics, machine learning, or a related field
● Experience with real time sensor fusion and laman filtering (e.g. LiDAR, camera, & IMU)
● Multiple view geometry, 3D computer vision and SfM/SLAM
● Experience in shipping computer vision or image processing product to customers
● Experience developing in CUDA
● Experience implementing Mesh and texture generation algorithms
● Experience with Deep-learning tools as well as training and creating/curating datasets

Key Responsibilities:
● Project Leadership: Manage all phases of project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery
and adherence to quality standards.● Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with team members, leadership, and external partners to ensure project success.
● Market Development: Identify and pursue new market opportunities, contributing to
strategic growth initiatives.● Technical Oversight: Ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables through expertise in geospatial data and engineering.
● Compliance Management: Navigate the Authority to Operate (ATO) certification
process and maintain regulatory compliance.● Team Development: Mentor team members and foster a positive, collaborative work
environment.Required Qualifications:
● Military Experience: Active military experience in the US Air Force and/or US Space
Force.● Security Clearance: Active security clearance is required.
● Experience with SBIR: Familiarity with the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.
Skills:
● Strong technical and organizational skills.
● Inquisitive mindset with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
● Excellent interpersonal skills, with an outgoing personality.
● Desire to develop new markets, with significant bonus potential based on market
growth.
Desirable Qualifications:● Experience with Department of Defense procurement, contracting, and management.
● Familiarity with the GEOBASE Program at US Air Force installations.
● Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro software.
● Background in civil engineering or related engineering fields.
● Experience managing external partnerships.
● Familiarity with the Authority to Operate (ATO) certification process.
● Experience as a Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) on SBIR and/or STTR contracts.
